This statistic shows the results of a survey on smartphone usage in Finland in 2014 and 2016, by age group. According to the survey, smartphone usage increased among all age groups in 2016 compared to the year 2014. The smartphone usage remained highest in the youngest surveyed age group of 15 to 24 years. In 2016, ** percent of individuals in this age group used a smartphone. The share increased by * percent from the previous year. Although the corresponding share decreased the older the surveyed individuals, the growth from 2014 to 2016 was most significant among individuals aged 65 years and above. In this age group, the share of smartphone users amounted to ** percent in 2016, nearly ** percent more than in 2014.
