This statistic shows a comparison of sales of sugar-sweetened beverages and water in the pre and post-tax period in Mexico between 2007 and 2015 and measured in million liters. During the period of consideration, it was found that even after the implementation of an excise tax on non-alcoholic beverages with added sugar, sales of sugar-sweetened beverages nationwide increased from billion liters in 2013 to more than billion liters in 2015.
