This statistic illustrates the level of awareness about other countries rather than Italy involved in the production of extra-virgin olive oil in Italy in the year 2015. Globally, on average, the vast majority of respondents knows extra-virgin olive oil and is aware that Italy is one of the main producers. In this instance, the only exception is Asia where knowledge of extra-virgin olive oil is rather limited. As of the survey period, over half of the respondents knew that Italy and Spain are the main producers of extra-virgin olive oil.
