The south western state of Maharashtra in India had around 4.6 million registered cars at the end of fiscal year 2020. Registered non transport vehicles, two wheelers as well as cars, jeeps, tractors, and etc., amounted to around 298 million across the country that year. Transport vehicles, including goods and passenger vehicles, was around 28 million during the same time.
