MobilePay was the most popular mobile payment service in Denmark in 2017. It was preferred by ** percent of the people interviewed in this survey. Second in the ranking came the Dankort app and PayPal Mobile was third. A survey conducted in 2016 investigated the reasons for choosing different online payment options in Denmark. PayPal or Payson were said to be safe by ** percent of the respondents. While MobilePay was said to be simple by ** percent and fast by ** percent of the interviewed.  

Online shopping payment methods 

         The most preferred online payment methodused by online shoppers in Denmark in 2018 was by debit or credit card, according to ** percent of the interviewed consumers. Second in the ranking came MobilePay, chosen by *** percent of respondents. Furthermore, the most popular payment cards used for online purchases in Denmark in 2017 and 2018 were Dankort and Visa. These cards were used by ** percent of the consumers in 2017 and by ** percent of in 2018. By contrast, debit or credit MasterCard was used by ** percent of the respondents in 2018.

Card payments in the Nordic countries

         Paying by card was generally popular in the Nordic countries in 2018 and was the most popular method in all the selected countries, except for Finland. It was used by ** percent of Norwegians, ** percent of Swedes, ** percent of Danes and ** percent of Finns. ** percent of Finish people preferred online banking.
