A successful industry

Climbing hotel room prices naturally lead to sinking expectations in terms of domestic and inbound tourism, but this is not the case here. In fact, the number of overnight stays at German hotels has been increasing in the last ten years, amounting to over million in 2019. Many well-known international hotel chains are active on the German market. Among these, the French AccorHotels has the most establishments on German soil, followed by Best Western from the U.S. and B&B Hotels, also a French chain. Three-star hotels are the most represented rating in Germany.

Optimistic forecast

Hotels are a key part of the German accommodation industry and also the most used type of place to stay at for tourists. Industry revenue is expected to grow, with a forecast of ** billion U.S. dollars for 2020.
