Between January 2020 and October 2023, the monthly Consumer Price Index (CPI) for breakfast cereals in Italy showed a general growth, with some fluctuations. The monthly CPI is here calculated using the year 2015 as the base, thus equal to 100. The CPI for breakfast cereals witnessed sudden drops every year in September. Totaling 95.8 in January 2021, it peaked in August 2023 at 112.4. As of December 2024, it had decreased to 112.1.

The CPI measures changes in the market price of a basket of consumer goods and services purchased by households.
