This statistic shows the share of children and young people with type 1 diabetes within body mass index (BMI) categories in England and Wales from 2022 to 2023. During this period, 22.2 percent of children aged 11 years and below were categorized as obese as per their BMI, while 25.4 percent of young people aged 12 years and above fell in the obese category.
