Thirty-four patients died in Belgium while on the organ transplant waiting list for a kidney transplant in 2024. A total of 26 patients died while being on the waiting list for a liver transplant, and 14 died while waiting for a heart transplant that year. These figures remained unchanged compared to the previous year.
