The total revenue of the industry amounted to around 23.4 billion euros. The retail sale of meat and meat products in specialized stores accounted for the highest revenue at close to six billions euros. The sector with the lowest turnover was that of fish, crustaceans, and molluscs, accounting for approximately 1.3 billion euros.
