The annual revenue of the wholesale trade in agricultural commodities and live animals in Italy from 2010 to 2022 has experienced some fluctuations. After 2011, the annual turnover sharply increased reaching approximately 21.4 billion euros in 2012 but experienced a negative trend until 2019, where it dropped to about 18.1 billions. Since then, the figure has been increasing again, witnessing an especially significant growth in 2021 and 2022. In 2022 revenue reached about 26.5 billion euros, the highest value to date.
