The U.S. recorded a refinery and blender net production of naphtha for petrochemical feedstock use of some 131 thousand barrels per day in 2023. This was an increase of five thousand barrels per day compared to the previous year. Between 1995 and 2023, figures decreased by 41 thousand barrels per day, peaking at 256 thousand barrels per day in 2004.
