Local titles grossed ** million dollars domestically in 2022, down from ** million two years before.

Film production and total budget

The number of feature films theatrically released in Canada remained below pre-COVID-19 standards. In 2021, cinemas across the country launched ** domestic movies, down ** percent from the *** titles that premiered in 2019.
