This statistic shows the share of expenditure on biotechnology research and development by small, medium and large biotechnology R&D firms in selected European countries in 2014, or latest available year. In Austria 60.9 percent of R&D expenditure went towards small biotechnology companies and 39.1 percent when on medium and large biotechnology R&D companies.
