The number of customer complaints to the Financial Ombudsman regarding consumer credit lines in the United Kingdom (UK) generally increased between the financial years of 2009/2010 and 2020/2023. Particularly steep inclines were observed in the years 2018/2019 and 2020/2021. The smallest number of complaints was found in 2009/2010, with only 6,329 complaints recorded.
