This statistic shows the perception of company executives in regards to the United Kingdom's market attractiveness to foreign direct investment (FDI) from 2014 to 2016, by region. London is clearly seen as the most attractive region with almost half of all respondents stating the capital during that time. In the most recent survey, London's attractiveness had increased from 45 to 47 percent. The South East of England was the next most popular, being viewed as the most attractive region for FDI by 12 percent of respondents in 2016. Followed by the West Midlands and the North West of England. Scotland and the East Midlands had lost in attractiveness compared to the previous year.
