Palmitic acid and stearic acid are two types of saturated fatty acids that have various industrial applications. They are mainly used for making soap, cosmetics, and candles, but also for food additives, lubricants, and plastics. Based on PRODCOM estimates, which are official statistics on the production of manufactured goods in the European Union, the sales value of these fatty acids in the UK reached a record high of **** million British pounds in 2022. This was a significant increase from the previous years sales value.
