This statistic shows the monthly trend in the amount spent (sales value) on textiles, clothing, footwear, and leather goods in Great Britain from January 2015 to January 2023, as an index of sales per week. Sales values had a sharp decline in April and May 2020 while coronavirus containment measures were in place,falling to an all-time low of 31.1 points in April 2020. As coronavirus measures ease, sales values had a steady increase between June 2020 and October 2020. Value of sales decreased again in the first three months of 2021 but increased rapidly afterwards. As of January 2023, sales value index of textiles, clothing, footwear, and leather goods stood at 109.3 points.
