(Formerly) indie gaming company Roblox Corporation started trading publicly on March 10, 2021, and closed its first day of trading activity with a market cap of over 37 billion U.S. dollars, ahead of several well-established industry heavyweights. Former industry leader Activision Blizzard ceased trading at the end of 2023 when the company's acquisition by Microsoft was completed, nearly two years after the original announcement.
