Throughout 2024, Mexican movie theaters sold million tickets, down from million in the previous year – an annual decrease of around seven percent. Still, the 2024 figure corresponds to nearly two-thirds of the million movie tickets sold in 2019. Meanwhile, the box office revenue in Mexico more than quadrupled between 2020 and 2024.
