U.S. Apparel market worldwide

Looking at a comparison of worldwide apparel markets by country, the U.S. is the largest, just ahead of China. As of 2021, Mexico was the largest importer of U.S. apparel by market value, at approximately *** billion U.S dollars. Canada was close behind at *** billion U.S. dollars. The demand for U.S. apparel around the world has seen considerable differences, however. While Europe has remained a strong importer of U.S. apparel, other regions such as Asia saw more variability.

U.S. online apparel market

The online retail of apparel has accounted for a larger share of the market each year. In 2020, the value of clothing e-commerce sales was over *** billion U.S. dollars, up from ** billion U.S. dollars in 2019.The change in consumer behavior has threatened other traditional forms of retail, as consumers begin to prefer shopping online. With this rise in online retail, however, consumers around the world are now able to shop U.S. apparel more easily.
