Haier Electronics Group is a subsidiary of Haier Group. Haier Electronics focuses on research, development, production and sales of washing machines and water heaters. Additionally, the company offers services like logistics and customer service for other appliances, e.g. air conditioners, refrigerators, TV, etc, which do not belong to the Haier brand.

The Haier Group is a leading multibillion-yuan brand set up in Qingdao, China, founded by Zhang Ruimin in 1984. Of the many products it provides to the world, its services in the production of electronic home appliances are the best recognized.

Prospects of China’s electronic appliances market

During the first quarter of 2020, the market size of consumer electronic appliances in China had dipped to a value of around **** billion yuan. The retail sales of these appliances had also witnessed a decline during the first quarter of that year but rose again to **** billion yuan during the second quarter. Both these incidents may be attributed to the adverse impact brought about by the Covid-19 pandemic globally during that period.

Haier Group affiliates

Two major subsidiaries of the Haier Group are the Haier Smart Home company and the Haier Electronics Group. The Haier Electronics Group generates its revenue primarily from the domestic market as opposed to revenue from overseas customers that totalled only about billion yuan in 2019. Conversely, the overseas revenue raised by Haier Smart Home totalled ** billion yuan in 2019, which was slightly less than the amount raised in domestic revenue in that year.
