The International Quidditch Association (IQA) had 18 full members in 2020. These include, among others, the French Quidditch Federation, the Belgian Quidditch Federation, and Quidditch Canada. The permanent members of the International Quidditch Association represent more than 8,000 quidditch players. Quidditch is a sport invented by the writer J.K. Rowling in the Harry Potter series. In the books, it is a sport played by wizards, practiced while flying through the air on broomsticks. Following the success of Harry Potter, the sport appeared in the real world, where it is played by running on the ground with a broom between the legs.
