Winter sports do not come to mind first when thinking of Latin America and, especially, the Caribbean. However, 13 countries in the region will participate in the Winter Olympic Games in Beijing 2022. Even more surprising is that Jamaica, a true Caribbean paradise, is, along with Argentina, the second largest delegation of athletes with 6 . Only Brazil will have more, with 10 participants. Meanwhile, Haiti will make its debut in the competition with Viano Richardson in Alpine Skiing.
