This statistic reflects the main reasons why tourists visited the city of Santiago de Compostela in 2018. Forty-two point six percent of the tourists surveyed in the capital of Galicia mentioned the Camino de Santiago as one of the main reasons for their trip. The Cathedral and its surroundings, as well as the historic district, however, were the primary reasons given by the study participants.
