In an October 2025 LATAM-wide survey, most Venezuelans agreed their country was a dictatorship. However, the share was significantly higher among the Venezuelan diaspora; indeed, more than 82 percent thought that way, while only 54.4 percent of Venezuelan residents believed their country was a dictatorship.
