This statistic presents the percent of votes obtained by the winners of the presidential elections in Russia from the dissolution of the former Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR) in 1991 up to the most recent elections held in March 2018. The last 35 years of Russian political history have been marked by two political figures: Mikhail Gorbachev — head of state of the Soviet Union from 1988 to 1991 and the main architect of Perestroika — and Vladimir Putin. The latter has managed to chain overwhelming electoral victories, especially notable in the elections held in March 2024, in which he received the support of more than 87 percent of the Russian electorate.
