This statistic represents the share of companies offering supplementary health insurance to their employees in France before the 2016 law and in 2017, according to company size. While before the mandatory supplementary health insurance law came into effect on January 1, 2016, nearly half of French companies with five to nine employees offered company health insurance to their employees; by 2017, nearly 95 percent were doing so.
