Global merchandise trade continues to suffer in 2023 from the impact of the complex socioeconomic situation worldwide, stemming from the health crisis caused by COVID-19, the war between Russia and Ukraine, and a significant inflationary episode. Thus, after the trade contraction in 2020, there was a significant rebound in almost all categories in 2021 and 2022.
