The controversial arrest of Ismael Zambada on July 25, 2024, has not left Mexicans indifferent. Around his capture, a wave of speculation has arisen, ranging from his voluntary surrender to U.S. authorities to a kidnapping carried out by the son of El Chapo Guzmán. Regarding the political consequences that Zambada's fall could have, opinions are very divided. More than ** percent of participants in a study conducted in Mexico in August stated that this event will have no consequences for the federal government and Morena, while another do foresee some kind of impact.
