On April 19, 2024, the American singer released her eleventh studio album, and just five days after its release, The Tortured Poets Department became the album with the most streams in one week on Spotify, also being the first album to achieve over one billion streams in seven days in the history of the streaming platform. Until that moment, the record was held by another Swift album, Midnights (2022). The third position is currently held by Bad Bunny's Un Verano Sin Ti, which achieved around 618.2 million streams in one week.
