In 2020, the total number of existing homes in Mexico exceeded 35.2 million units. At the end of that year, the State of Mexico was the federal entity with the highest number of homes in the country, with more than 4.5 million, followed by Mexico City, where the number was estimated at around 2.8 million homes.
