According to the Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge (MITECO), an auction was planned for 2023 to allocate a total of 3,640 megawatts of renewable power. Although this call had to be postponed, the amounts planned for each type of energy are known. As in previous occasions, the largest capacity at stake was for photovoltaic solar and wind power. Specifically, the former had just under 2,000 megawatts reserved, while wind turbines were allocated a total of 1,500 megawatts.
