99 percent of the population of Puerto Rico and 98 percent of that of Chile have access to safely managed drinking water, making them the Latin American territories with the highest proportion of the population enjoying this human right. In contrast, in four of the countries analyzed, less than half of their inhabitants have access to safe water for consumption.
