In Spain, more and more women are finding a place in the technological and scientific market, to the point that they represent almost 51 percent of the employed Spanish population in that sector. However, it is still below the European average and even further from those states where women dominate the sector (such as the Baltic countries and especially Latvia), where females account for more than 58 percent of their employed population in the scientific and technical field.
