This statistic presents the annual number of international tourists who arrived in Spain by train from 2000 to 2023. Between 2013 and 2017, the annual number of international tourists arriving in the country by rail increased by more than 250,000 , surpassing 375,000 , the highest figure in the observed period. In 2020, due to mobility restrictions resulting from COVID-19, the number dropped significantly to below 90,500 . However, the following year saw a return to growth thanks to the gradual lifting of measures, and by 2023, more than 341,000 tourists arrived in the country by train from abroad.
