This chart shows the share of voluntary terminations of pregnancy (VTP) performed in the department of residence in France in 2023, by department. While in Alpes-Maritimes, more than 96 percent of the VTPs for residents were performed within the department, this rate was only 53 percent in Ardèche. These data show that in some departments, there are not enough practitioners performing VTPs.
