This statistic shows that the older a dwelling is, the worse its energy efficiency. In France, energy-inefficient homes are overrepresented among housing built before 1945, which accounts for more than one-third of the French housing stock. The rate of homes classified as F or G is 42 percent for those built before 1918 and 40 percent for those built between 1919 and 1945, while it is only 0.4 percent for homes built after 2013.
