As of December 2024, the largest credit risk of the banking sector in Israel stemmed from claims on corporates, amounting to nearly 620 billion Israeli shekels, some 173 billion U.S. dollars. It was followed by residential mortgage loans valued at over 339 billion Israeli shekels, about 95 billion U.S. dollars. Claims secured by commercial real estate also contributed significantly, totaling 259 billion Israeli shekels, some 72 billion U.S. dollars.
