Questionnaire and personal interview
Data are collected throughout the year via the HKTB Departing Visitor Survey during face-to-face interviews, at which respondents are requested to complete an electronic questionnaire. The Project aims at studying visitors’ main purpose of travelling to Hong Kong, travel itineraries, spending, satisfaction of their trip, etc. The sample size of the Project in 2024 is about 169,000. Questionnaires are available in 15 languages to facilitate the interview with visitors from all over the world. Target respondents are overseas visitors aged 16 or above departing from ten major control points in Hong Kong.
