In the fourth quarter of 2024, El Al  Israel Airlines generated net a profit of almost 130 million U.S. dollars. This was more than three times the airline's profits in the fourth quarter of the previous year. After the beginning of the Israel-Hamas war in October 2023, many international airlines reduced their flights to Israel. In contrast, the Israeli flagship airline continued to fly, becoming the most reliable provider for international travel. The company's operating revenue also increased over this period.
