In a survey conducted among young singles in China in ***, two-thirds of respondents believed that those who do not trust that scammers are common are more likely to fall victim to romance scams. However, only a third of survey participants would refuse directly when they were asked to lend money or to take part in an investment by their matches from dating apps and match-making sites.
