Nearly 55,648 metric tons of skipjack tuna were caught by tuna vessels in Ghana in 2021. This was a slight decrease compared to the previous year when the fishing volume stood at roughly 58,000 metric tons. In the period under review, the fishing volume of skipjack tuna in the country generally decreased from 66,787 metric tons in 2018.
