In Portugal, the investment fund (IF) shares issued by investment funds presented an increasing trend over the period considered. During the 1st quarter of 2018, IF issued 26.62 billion euros in shares. These increased in the 1st quarter of 2021 to 42.9 billion euros. This rising tendency culminated with 37.08 billion euros in shares in the 3rd quarter of 2024.
