The ratio of government expenditure to gross domestic product in Hungary was forecast to continuously increase between 2023 and 2028 by in total 1.64 percentage points. After the fifth consecutive increasing year, the ratio is estimated to reach 31.04 percent and therefore a new minimum in 2028.

The gross domestic product represents the total value of final goods and services produced during a year.
