Over half of the global outstanding loans by Citigroup in 2023 were consumer loans. Meanwhile, corporate loans amounted to roughly 300 billion U.S. dollars that year. Citigroup has its headquarters in New York and, therefore, most of its outstanding loans were in the U.S. and Canada.
