In 2023, the majority of age groups in a study conducted in Nigeria followed more or less the same trend in terms of their opinions on whether they were paying a proportional amount for their electricity consumption. For instance, ** percent of the respondents between 18 and 35 years old confirmed that their electricity bills were disproportionate to their consumption, while ** percent reported their approval of their electricity bills. However, a fifth of the respondents over 61 years claimed they could not say if their electricity bills were in line with their consumption.
