In 2023, the share of postdoctoral researchers in Israeli universities in biological sciences accounted for almost a third of all research, about 29.4 percent. It was followed by the physical sciences, with over 20 percent of the research. General arts and applied arts constituted Israel's least researched academic field, with only 0.3 percent of the research on this subject.
