In December 2022, a survey found that respondents in Africa were split between believing that Morocco or Argentina would win the 2022 FIFA World Cup. On average, ** percent of respondents in Africa thought that Morocco would win the tournament. This made up a majority of the survey participants. The excitement surrounding the Morocco vs France match was high, and it was interesting to see the varying opinions on who would come out on top. According to the survey, women were more optimistic than men about Morocco's chances. The predictions for the other teams were also noteworthy, with Argentina and France being seen as strong contenders, and only a small percentage of people backing Croatia.
