The final natural gas consumption of the residential sector increased overall in Hungary during the considered years. As of 2021, households consumed nearly 140 petajoules of natural gas, which was the highest volume recorded over the observed period. However, natural gas consumption decreased over the next years, and in 2023, it totaled approximately 104 petajoules.
